Introducing the Heads of Provider Relations

This year, we added new roles to the team: the Heads of Provider Relations. These regional positions are strategic provider liaisons dedicated to high-claim volume practices and State Association Board members to educate them on how to maximize their relationships with VSP.  

Meet our three new members of the team:

Stephen Padar (West Region)

• Stephen is based in Reno, NV and comes to his new role with more than 20 years of pharmaceutical and biotech sales experience with organizations like Astra Zeneca and Amylin Pharmaceuticals, healthcare experience with Hometown Health, and has several years of business development and community relations experience with the Greater Nevada Credit Union.

Patrick Donovan (Central Region)

• Patrick comes to his new position with nearly 30 years of experience in the eyecare business, much of it at VSP and Marchon. Thanks to his role as a Global Business Development Manager (GBDM) covering a variety of southern states over the last decade, he brings a wealth of knowledge about VSP and its subsidiaries to his new role. 

Stephanie Van Winkle (East Region)

• Stephanie has more than 30 years of experience in health and vision care, having held a range of leadership, advocacy and sales positions during her career. Most recently, Stephanie served as the Director of Patient Advocacy for the genetic testing firm, Invitae.  

Keep an eye out for them at industry events, regional events, and doctor dinners. They have also completed practice visits with a few Ambassadors, so they may contact you when they’re in your area to see if you’re available to join them on their visits with local doctors.
